- Insert the BAFO CD-ROM into your computer's CD-ROM drive.
- Look for the USB symbol on the back of your computer and also on the small end of the BAFO cable. Plug this end of the BAFO cable into your computer's USB port.

- The 'Add New Hardware Wizard' will appear once the cable is plugged in. The Wizard will guide you through a series of steps to install the BAFO driver program from the software CD. Accept the default option 'Automatic search for a better driver (Recommended)' then click Next.
The Wizard will now install the BAFO driver program from the CD-ROM onto your hard drive. This process takes a few moments.
- Once the driver installation is complete click Finish to close the Wizard.
- Connect the free end of the BAFO cable to your instrument then connect your instrument to the PC using the supplied RS2323 cable.
- You should now start the software and let the program automatically detect which port is being used to communicate with the instrument. See Specifying the COM Port for further instructions.
