The information provided is for help with Commtest Instruments products:

Insert the BAFO CD-ROM into your computer's CD-ROM drive.
Look for the USB symbol on the back of your computer and also on the small end of the BAFO cable. Plug this end of the BAFO cable into your computer's USB port.

The 'Found New Hardware Wizard' will appear once the cable is plugged in. The Wizard will guide you through a series of steps to install the BAFO driver program from the software CD. Click Next to continue.

Accept the default option 'Search for a suitable driver for my device (Recommended)' then click Next.

Select the 2nd option 'CD-ROM drives' to prompt the Wizard to search the BAFO CD-ROM for the driver file.

The Wizard will now perform its search and display the following window when the driver has been located. Click Next to install the software on your hard drive.

Connect the free end of the BAFO cable to your instrument then connect your instrument to the PC using the supplied RS2323 cable.
You should now start the software and let the program automatically detect which port is being used to communicate with the instrument. See Specifying the COM Port for further instructions.
