Windows 2000 Dongle Driver Uninstall

Uninstalling the dongle driver

  • Leave the dongle connected to your PC (if you have already removed the dongle plug it in again now).
  • From the Windows Start menu select Settings>Control Panel>System.

This opens the System Properties window.

  • Click the 'Hardware' tab to open this page then click Device Manager.

  • The dongle driver will be highlighted with a yellow question mark. (If you cannot see this because you have removed the dongle, close this window and plug the dongle back in. Now re-open this window using Start>Settings>Control Panel>System.)

  • Right-click the HASP dongle driver and select Uninstall (the HASP4 USB number may differ from that shown here).

  • You will be prompted to confirm the removal - click OK.

  • Close all other windows.

This completes the dongle driver uninstallation. Now you need to reinstall the dongle driver to successfully run Ascent.
