'You can't send routes to a USA vb Instrument'

QUESTION

When sending to a route to the vb instrument this error message appears:

'You can't send routes to a USA VB'

What does this mean?

ANSWER

There is an expired patent in the USA (#4 612 620) that vaguely covered 'sending ordered lists of measurement locations' into a vibration datacollector. vb firmware versions 2.30 and onwards were created after this patent expired. As a result there are no longer separate USA and international versions of our firmware.

SOLUTION

Upgrading to the latest firmware version will allow you to send routes to the instrument. Please contact help for instructions on how to upgrade your instrument.
