Certification Training

You are invited to participate in one of our dynamic, professionally instructed vibration analysis training courses. These classroom-based courses are highly effective at graphically and uniquely equipping participants with knowledge and skill sets to be successful in understanding and applying vibration analysis concepts.  Our vibration training utilizes modern slides, animations, innovative simulations, and live case studies.  These innovative courses are scheduled several times a year in our training lab in Knoxville, Tennessee.

If it is more convenient or preferred, this course and/or others can be arranged to be delivered on-site.  Prices are different for on-site training and instructor Travel & Living expenses will also be charged.  Please contact us for specific pricing and arrangements for any of Commtest’s exciting on-site training course options.

The award winning iLearn Vibration training CD and pre-study guide are included as part of both course packages. These materials will serve as an ongoing reference after you leave the course.

An optional certification exam is offered at the end of both courses. This exam follows ISO and ASNT standards.

Frequently Asked Questions

Am I being certified by the International Standards Organization (ISO)?
Mobius Institute follows the guidelines set out in the standard 18436.2:2002 to provide the examination and training topics that you require.

What is the difference between your training/certification and that provided by others in the industry?
There is very little difference – except that we offer distance learning, with interactive training and demonstrator programs, with the assistance of expert trainers, for a very attractive cost. Mobius Institute follows the ISO standard in the same manner as the others do.

Am I being certified by the ASNT?
No, you are being certified by Mobius Institute; the American Society for Nondestructive Testing (ASNT) does not provide training or certification (they do offer Level III certification, we offer Level I and Level II). However, the ASNT has a procedure for organizations to create training material and certification exams that follow their guidelines for Vibration Analyst Level I and Level II. We follow those guidelines, and we have completed the Written Practice as per SNT-TC-1A:2001.
